WEIGHT IN LARGE CREATURES
In this week's lesson, you will learn how to apply weight to large creatures, an essential skill for animators seeking to create believable and dynamic animations.
QUADRUPED LOCOMOTION: RUN CYCLES
In this week's class, students will be instructed on the techniques and principles of animating creature run cycles. The class will delve into the intricacies of applying the correct timing, spacing, and weight to these movements in order to create convincing and dynamic animations.
ANATOMY OF WINGS AND ANIMATION
In this week's class, you will gain an understanding of the intricacies involved in animating wings. You will learn how to study the anatomy of wings, and how that knowledge can be applied to create realistic and compelling wing animations.
FLYING AND GLIDING CYCLES
In this class, you will be taught the art of creating dynamic flying and gliding cycles for a variety of winged creatures. Through a detailed study of wing anatomy and movement, you will learn to create fluid and natural animations that capture the essence of flight.
TAKE OFF'S AND LANDINGS: PART 01
In this week's class, we will focus on mastering takeoff and landing animations for flying creatures. We will explore the principles of body mechanics, wing positioning, and leg power to create realistic and captivating flight sequences. Through demonstrations and examples, you will gain a solid understanding of these dynamic movements.
TAKE OFF'S AND LANDINGS: PART 02
In part two of the class, you'll witness an instructor-led demo on takeoff and landing animations for flying creatures. You'll learn to apply body mechanics, wing positioning, and leg power. With guided practice and feedback, you'll refine your own animations, creating captivating flight sequences. By the end, you'll master the techniques to bring your flying creatures to life with lifelike takeoff and landing animations.
ANIMATION PROJECT 01 - CREATURE FIGHT SCENE PLANNING
In Week 1 of the project, you will begin your creature fight scene project by learning essential steps for successful planning, gathering references, and setting up your scene
ANIMATION PROJECT 02 - CREATURE FIGHT SCENE BLOCKING
Stage 2 of the creature fight scene project will involve blocking out the entire scene to establish a reasonable scope. You will learn how to efficiently plan and execute the layout of the scene to optimize the animation process.
ANIMATION PROJECT 03 - CREATURE FIGHT SCENE SPLINING
In stage 3, you will focus solely on animating your creature fight scene. You will receive valuable workflow tips and tricks to help you streamline your work and create a compelling and dynamic animation.
ANIMATION PROJECT 04 - CREATURE FIGHT SCENE FINAL POLISH & CAMERAS
During the final stage of the course, you will receive guidance on adding intricate details to your animation to take it to the next level. This week will challenge you to push your abilities to their limits and produce a final product that truly showcases your newfound skills.
